30-Day Expense Elimination Challenge Update
We’ve finally crossed the half-way point in the challenge, and of course my desktop computer decided to start randomly crashing on me (luckily I still have my laptop). Unfortunately, the problem I thought the computer was having (poor cooling of the CPU chip) was not the problem. Looks like the $50 I spent on items to fix the computer (included below) was most likely a waste.
As you may have noticed, I’ve bounced back and forth, over and under the $16.67/day average expense threshold. For those not following, $16.67 is simply $500 divided by the 30 days of the challenge. That leaves me (and maybe you) wondering: will I be able to succeed in this challenge?
It’s really tough to say. In a perfect world, I have no doubt I could do it. Yesterday is an example of the unexpected things we often come across – after all, if it weren’t for my computer on the fritz, yesterday would have been another $0 day.
Let’s also not forget that we have do-something-nice-or-get-something-nice-for-your-girlfriend-or-wife day coming up soon. This isn’t going to break the bank, but even dinner and flowers will probably set me back (in the challenge) a bit.
As always, stay tuned.
