My Online Income Report – February 2014

I’ve never been a fan of February, and I’ve said it in multiple February income reports. Shorter month, it’s cold outside, blah blah blah…

I’m tired of those excuses.

The only reason things didn’t go well in February (well, they were actually very similar to January) is because I simply haven’t done enough yet.  I’m owning up to it.

However, I have every reason to be optimistic with The Daily Interview, and in this income report, I give the first ever traffic report for my new site.

Let’s get to it.

My Online Income Report – January 2014

I feel like a broken record – every time a new month begins, I consistently point out that that the previous month went by too quickly.  January was no exception.  (Fortunately, this will actually be a fact in the 28-day month of February.)

I’ve said it before (I think), but I really do feel like I’ve hit the “restart button” with my online journey.

In a good way.

What I mean by this is, even though I still have many of my old, abandoned projects generating a little bit of income, I’ve completely reinvented my approach with the launch of The Daily Interview. The downside is, earnings are going to take a while to build.

The upside is – dare I say – limitless?

My Online Income Report – December 2013

2013 is in the books!

What a roller coaster of a year in terms of earnings (over $2,000 in my best month, and close to $200 in my worst).

I’m late yet again with my income report thanks to my focus on the launch of my new site:

The Daily Interview.

Better late than never, right?

December wasn’t a great month earnings-wise, but it doesn’t matter – the earning sources of my past will be nothing compared to that of the future.

I’ll explain…

My Online Income Report [November 2013]

Wow, this is the latest I’ve ever posted a monthly income report!

I’ve been super busy with work, family/holiday events, and getting my new site ready for its launch in January. I’m definitely in that phase where I’m working hard now to reap the benefits later.  They’re not going to come quickly, but they will come.  Soon enough.

Despite being busy with a million other things, I do believe it’s important to make time to reflect on the results of the previous month, so let’s get right to it.

My Online Income Report [October 2013]

This is going to be a weird income report, because while this is by far the worst month I’ve had in a long time, I’ve never been more excited about the future.

The fact of the matter is, most of the income I’m going to report here is from sources that I no longer put any time or effort into.  I guess this is passive income in its purest form, however I don’t view that as a good thing.

Wouldn’t you prefer $10,000 that you worked for vs. $100 you didn’t work for? I know I would (assuming it took a reasonable amount of time to earn the $10,000).

Allow me to explain why I’m so excited.

My Online Income Report [September 2013]

You might have noticed a subtle difference in the title of this post, compared to my past monthly income reports.  Although this blog has typically focused on “passive” sources of income online, I’ve decided that this is the wrong focus, and sends the wrong message.

After all, most of the “passive income” projects I undertake are anything but passive – they require a lot of upfront work, and even when everything is in motion, there’s a lot of effort required to maintain and grow the project. Sadly, I haven’t been putting in enough effort.

That aside, I’m slowly getting into a new form of online income (new for me, that is), which I’ll explain in greater detail below.  It’s 100% non-passive (so I guess that makes it “active?”), but I think there’s solid potential to build a strong income stream with it.

Let’s jump right in…
