Which Free eBook Would You Like to See? (Poll)

I’m always looking to take this blog to greater heights – after all, it benefits both of us.  I’m a very strong believer in the notion that the more value you provide, the more you get in return.  With that said, I have yet to compile any type of “official” written material (aside from blog posts of course).  I have a couple ideas in mind that I think people would find useful, but I need your help in determining which one I should focus on.

Below are brief descriptions of two eBooks I plan to write, and I’d like you to tell me (via the poll on the sidebar to your right and in the comments if you have more to say) which one you’d be most interested in. Keep in mind, whatever I create will be completely free.

1) Unique Blog Monetization – This eBook would examine a few unique or creative ways to monetize a blog, beyond your usual AdSense ads (or whatever type of pay-per-click ads you prefer).  There would be concrete instructions and examples of how to implement them.

2) My First Online Muse: The Road to Passive Income – This eBook would take you through, step-by-step, how I created one of my “niche” websites, how I earn income through it, and how you can replicate the process.  This isn’t a unique process by any means, but it’s information that the “gurus” usually charge money for in an eBook.

Which one sounds more interesting to you?  At some point, I plan to write both of them, but I’d like to know which one I should focus on first.  Once I have it ready (I have no idea when that will be), you’ll need to subscribe to my muse creation newsletter to gain access to the download link.  If you’re possibly interested in the eBook, I’d recommend subscribing now because my current subscribers will have access to the eBook before I open it up publicly on this blog.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback! [Leave a comment.]

UPDATE: Option #2 won in a landslide!  I don’t have any idea when this eBook will be done, but stick around and I’ll announce it eventually!

  1. Well, so far your poll has 18 votes, and zero comments, so just thought I’d leave a short comment here, Eric….

No matter how much these topics have been beaten to death, for both payment and for free, there is something always great and special about the unique experiences and stories someone can bring to the table…hearing it, in your own words, would definitely be valued, I’m sure.

I think either project would be great…however, I did vote for “My First Online Muse” (and, alot of others appear to have done the same as well….

Thanks for stepping up and being the first to comment, Howie. I agree that these topics have been beaten to death to some extent, but as you say, hopefully I can still add value from my own perspective.

Seems like we can see the winner emerging already, but hopefully people won’t be discouraged to vote.

I agree with Howie up there, Eric. I’m always interested in the unique ways people are earning their money online. Everyone seems to have carved themselves a little piece of the pie and it’s fun to read about it.

  2. The second ebook would have definitely been the one I would have been interested in the past, but since I have been searching for a muse for about two years, I have a good grasp on muse ideas.

With that being said, I would be interested in blog monetization.

Thank you for asking for our input!

  3. Hey Eric,

I find you experience with your first muse a more unique eBook and have voted for it. I am participating in The Challenge (www.challenge.co/training if you’re interested)and it helps you find micro niches to target and build an online business around. So I would definitely be interested in your muse ebook :) Keep up the awesome work!

    Cheers!

  4. I’d suggest a blog about how to set up and run a WordPress blog. There are many people who have no idea how to do this.

I agree that that there are a lot of people who don’t know how to do this, but for something like an introduction guide to getting started with WordPress, there are a lot of resources out there already. :) If/when I write the “My First Online Muse…” eBook, it will discuss how to set up a WordPress blog/website, but that won’t be the primary focus.

  5. I would also go for the second one. Although the first one seems to be very good also, but it only talks about monetizing your blog based on the title. But the second book really got my attention as it teaches the road to a passive income, which all of us wants to attain as a business person.

    Kind regards,

    Gary

  6. My intution says that the second one seems more appealing. I like the idea of it being a journey or “road” makes it more personalized and connects better with the reader.
